Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience for an acute care inpatient position with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient hospital setting specializing in orthopedic, neuro, medical, ICU, cardiac, renal, oncology, trauma, and stroke cases
• Work hours are 08:30-17:00, day shift
• Initial caseload may include 10 evaluations with possibility of additional treatments depending on case load
• Patient care includes assessments, specialized testing, and individualized plans of care
• Multidisciplinary team environment with regular collaboration with PTAs
• Responsible for maintaining professional conduct and positive relationships with patients and healthcare staff
• Duties include developing and adjusting treatment plans, supervising team members, and collaborating with families as needed
• Regular participation expected in meetings, educational sessions, and service development activities
• Must maintain a safe, orderly, and clean work environment
• Strict confidentiality regarding patient information and facility operations is required

Requirements

• Active South Carolina PT license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year recent physical therapy experience in an acute care or inpatient setting
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Strong skills in patient evaluation, care planning, and application of evidence-based practice
• Ability to adhere to APTA standards for documentation and care
