Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 1 year of recent relevant experience and current state licensure for an acute care hospital assignment.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an inpatient acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
• EPIC charting system is used
• Provide patient assessment, treatment, and education in independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities, and assistive equipment
• Perform and document skilled physical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Delegate and supervise tasks to students, assistants, and technicians within your scope of practice
• Regularly reassess patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team to promote the facility's mission and values

Requirements

• Active and valid state Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required
• Minimum of 1 year of occupational therapy experience, preferably in a clinic setting
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) and ACLS (AHA endorsed) preferred
