Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 18 months pediatric CVICU experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU with a 24-bed unit and 12-bed overflow area
• Patient population includes neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients
• Cases include congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repairs, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant, and VAD
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU status and 1:3 in stepdown or non-ICU overflow
• Night shift schedule: 18:45 to 07:15
• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients
• Must supply two professional references and a copy of driver’s license for consideration
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• Local candidates are accepted, but will receive a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
• All positions are offered automatically without interviews
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required based on unit needs

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required
