Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Resource Nurse role covering medical/surgical and telemetry units, requiring an active MA RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a float pool setting across Medical/Surgical Units, Telemetry, and Joint Replacement Center
• May be occasionally floated to ED, psych, CCU, and Childbirth Center as support without taking full assignments
• Patient populations include pre, intra, and post-partum, neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with varied clinical needs
• 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Uses Epic EMR system
• Provide direct patient care with full assignments in med/surg and telemetry units and supplemental support in other hospital departments as needed
• Must be adaptable to float to various units based on facility needs
• Documentation and charting performed using Epic system
• Dress code and scrub requirements will vary by department
• Public transportation and daily paid parking options available; validated parking is not provided
• Holiday coverage may be required according to hospital policy
• Requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Permanent local candidates residing within 60 miles may be considered at an adjusted pay rate

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted MA RN license required at the time of consideration; no pending or conditional licenses allowed
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications required; must be from AHA
• Experience in med/surg and telemetry units preferred
• Ability to interact appropriately across diverse age groups and clinical needs
• Proof of completed COVID-19 and seasonal Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions allowed
