Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in an ambulatory recovery room, requiring BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) certifications and a FL or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

Work in an ambulatory recovery room (PACU) setting
Patient care focuses on post-anesthesia recovery
36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts from 06:00 to 18:30
On-call required: within a 6-week period, 4 weeknights, 2 weekend days, and 2 weekend night shift calls
One major and one minor holiday call shift required if holiday falls on scheduled shift
Responsible for the care and monitoring of patients recovering from anesthesia
Must provide two professional references
RTO (Requested Time Off) must be included with initial application
Holiday call coverage may be required if a major or minor holiday falls during scheduled shifts
Local candidates are accepted but may receive a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
First time travelers may be considered

Requirements

Active FL RN license or compact RN license required
Minimum of 1 year PACU experience required
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
Must possess a US Social Security Number and US home address
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
