Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with ICU, Med Surg, and Stepdown/PCU background and active IA or compact license for an ICU position.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ICU setting with potential to float to Med Surg, PCU, or ICU units
• Patient populations include Med Surg, Progressive Care, and ICU cases
• Use of the Epic EMR system
• One supervisory reference from the past 2 years is required for consideration
• Required to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays: Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
• Maximum one day off request allowed during peak holiday periods
• First day Epic EMR experience preferred
• Returning travelers cannot have worked at the client facility in the prior 12 months

Requirements

• Active RN license in Iowa or a Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Active Illinois RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Med Surg and Stepdown/PCU or ICU settings
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS required
• Must be comfortable floating between Med Surg, PCU, and ICU populations
