Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 2 years of experience and ARDMS certification for a contract opportunity performing general, OB/GYN, and vascular exams.

Responsibilities

• Work in a unit averaging 15 scans per day
• Patient population includes general, OB/GYN, and vascular cases
• Perform abdomen, small parts, all trimesters OB, transabdominal and transvaginal gynecologic imaging, upper and lower venous Doppler, lower arterial Doppler, ABIs, aorta duplex, carotid arterial Doppler, and hepatic and renal Doppler imaging exams
• Experience assisting with fine needle aspirations, paracentesis, and thoracentesis preferred but not required
• Epic EMR is used in this setting
• Minimum 50-mile radius rule in effect; no local candidates
• Expect to work two of the three major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Only one day of requested time off allowed between 11/26/25–11/30/25 and 12/23/25–1/2/26
• Training and support provided to ensure success in the role
• Scrub and dress code requirements will be provided upon assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer
• ARDMS and BLS certifications required
• Experience in all vascular scans required
• First-time travelers accepted if all experience and certification requirements are met
• License required if applicable
• One supervisory performance reference from the past 2 years required
