Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience, including 1 year LDRP, and holding a WA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Birth Center, a hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
• 20 total beds including 12 L&D beds, 8 postpartum/antepartum beds, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 operating rooms, and a 6-bed level II NICU
• Patient population includes laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients
• 12-hour day shifts with every other weekend rotation
• No on-call requirement
• Primary EMR used is Epic
• Teal scrubs are provided
• Responsibilities include comprehensive care for mothers and newborns from labor through postpartum transition to discharge
• Required to participate in every other weekend rotation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Teal scrubs are provided and must be worn while on duty
• Unit supports diverse population, including Russian and Spanish speakers; multilingual skills are preferred

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years L&D experience, with at least 1 year in LDRP
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring
• Ability to perform cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, Pitocin administration
• Experience with all aspects of postpartum care from transition to discharge is needed
• Ability to circulate C-sections is required
• Scrub experience is preferred
• Experience with baby catching/receiving is required
• Familiarity with APGAR and breastfeeding support is required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
