Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU position requiring Level 1 Trauma ICU experience and a NC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) of a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill surgical and trauma patients in a Level 1 Trauma environment
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Responsible for providing competent clinical care to critically ill surgical and trauma patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to evaluate and implement patient care plans
• Perform patient assessments, point of care testing, and participate in discharge planning
• Actively engage in professional development and continuing education activities
• Promote a safe and clean hospital environment

Requirements

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA or ARC) required
• Minimum of 2 years recent Trauma Level 1 ICU nursing experience required
• Minimum of 1 year overall nursing experience
• Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing school
