Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU position requiring an IN or compact RN license and strong cardiac ICU skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU within a hospital setting
• Care for cardiac medical and surgical patients, including transplant cases
• Manage cardiac devices as part of daily responsibilities
• Handle a patient ratio of 1:2 in the ICU
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Responsibilities include advanced cardiac care and management of critically ill patients
• Familiarity with cardiac devices is expected
• Local candidates are accepted but may be offered a different rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required
• All positions are offered on an auto offer basis
• Travelers should begin discussing extension options 45 days before assignment end date

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Certification required
• Verification through Nursys required within 30 days prior to start
• Candidates must have a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Copy of Driver’s License required
• Two professional references required
