Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in Iowa requiring an active IA or compact RN license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital setting
• Primary assignment in ICU with potential to float to Med Surg units
• Patient ratios may range from 3 to 5 patients per nurse
• Utilizes Epic electronic medical record system
• Holiday coverage will require working 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Work schedule may include floating between ICU and Med Surg as needed
• Candidates must be comfortable caring for up to 5 patients in high-acuity settings
• May float between ICU and Med Surg units as needed
• Dress code and scrub color will follow hospital standards
• Limit of one day of requested time off between 11/26 to 11/30 and 12/23 to 1/2
• Travel experience is preferred but not required
• Local candidates within 60 miles will be considered at a reduced rate

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1.5 years ICU nursing experience
• Med Surg experience strongly encouraged
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Current TNCC certification required
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, with exemptions available upon request
• Professional reference from a supervisor within the past 2 years
