Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position specializing in pulmonary patient care, requiring an IA or compact RN license and strong Med/Surg experience.

Responsibilities

Work in a 23-bed Med/Surg unit focusing on pulmonary and general medical patients
Patient population includes individuals receiving care for respiratory conditions, patients on vents, bi-pap, trach care, and Heparin drips
May care for COVID-positive patients
Epic EMR is used in this setting
Required to float across multiple campuses as needed
Expect to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
Only 1 day off may be requested between 11/26–11/30 and 12/23–1/2, regardless of holidays worked
First-time travelers are considered if they meet the experience requirement
Locals within a 50-mile radius are eligible to apply
Returning employees must not have been employed within the last 12 months

Requirements

Active IA or compact RN license required
Current BLS certification
Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience
Pulmonary patient care experience is required
Experience with ventilators, bi-pap, and trach care
Epic EMR experience preferred
One supervisory professional reference from within the last 2 years
