Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring cardiac drip and dementia management experience, with a current NH or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg unit serving a small community
• Float to additional units as needed, including coverage at Kingsbury
• Primary patient population includes adults requiring medical-surgical care with cardiac and dementia needs
• EPIC EMR is used in this facility
• Standard scheduling with no block scheduling accommodated
• Candidates must provide a permanent address for profile consideration
• All scheduling requests must be made prior to offer; no requests will be accommodated after an offer is made
• A maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered
• All occupational health and compliance documentation must be submitted within 5 days of offer acceptance
• First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license in hand at the time of application
• Minimum of 2 years of acute Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Demonstrated experience in cardiac drips and dementia management
• EPIC EMR experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification strongly preferred
• A personal vehicle is required due to lack of public transportation
