Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Cardiovascular ICU position requiring critical care background and Indiana or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities

• Work in an 8-bed Cardiovascular ICU in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:1 to 1:3
• Care for post-surgical cardiothoracic, vascular, thoracotomy, TAVR, and complex PCI intervention patients
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Edwards and GE monitors, SWAN Ganz catheters, and manage post-open heart and post-cardiac procedures
• Central line, arterial line, and chest tube placements are performed
• All candidates must have a valid US Social Security Number and US home address
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate due to a radius rule
• Detailed references, license verification, and copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Covid vaccination is no longer required
• Scrubs or dress code details have not been specified

Requirements

• Active Indiana or compact state RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of critical care and cardiac critical care experience required
• Experience with open heart recovery and post cardiac procedure recovery required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• NIH Certification preferred or required per group assignment
