Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital setting with at least 18 months of recent experience and a current IN or Compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care hospital with a staffed capacity of approximately 194 to 210 beds
• Provide physical therapy services in an acute care hospital unit
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with 8-hour day shifts (8:00 to 16:30) and at least one weekend required per month
• Candidates must be prepared to float within the hospital or to an affiliated hospital as needed
• Cerner is used for electronic charting and EMR documentation
• Main responsibilities include delivering physical therapy interventions to acute care patients
• Candidates must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays as part of the assignment
• Royal blue scrubs and black shoes are required for this position
• Free parking is provided onsite
• Any permanent or PRN employee must be separated from the facility for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• Local candidates are accepted for allied positions
• Candidates can have up to 5 non-holiday days off automatically approved; additional RTO requires facility approval

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years of recent acute care physical therapy experience required
• Valid IN state or Compact PT license must be in hand prior to start; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification accepted from AHA or RQI is required
• Must have graduated from a university accredited by the ACEN or CCNE
• First-time travelers are welcome
