Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TN or compact RN license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Critical Care Unit (CVICU) with a 6-bed capacity
• Patient population includes post-cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, CHF, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-cardiopulmonary arrest
• Serve adults ages 18 and older
• Day shift is from 06:45 to 19:15
• Assigned 13-week contract with potential for either 36 or 48-hour workweeks
• Must work one of two holidays during the assignment
• Provide specialized care for complex cardiovascular and critical care patients
• Radius rule applies for local candidates, who will receive a reduced pay rate
• Auto-offer process for all Ascension positions
• Optional extension discussions should be initiated at least 45 days before contract end
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Submission requires two separate references and a copy of driver’s license
