Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a TN or compact RN license and AHA BLS/ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 6-bed Cardiovascular ICU within a critical care unit setting
- Provides care for adult patients with cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-cardiopulmonary arrest
- Patient population is young adult through late adult (18-60+ years)
- Scheduled for 12-hour day shifts, 06:45 to 19:15
- Assignment is 13 weeks in length
- Must work one of two holidays during assignment
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced pay rate according to facility radius rules
- Care for patients with complex cardiovascular diagnoses including post-cardiac surgery and acute cardiac events
- Holiday coverage required for at least one major holiday during the assignment
- COVID vaccination is not required for this assignment
- All positions are auto-offer
- Extension discussions should begin 45 days before the end of the assignment
- Only one position submission allowed system-wide within this health system
Requirements
- Active TN or compact RN license required
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required (Group-specific renewal intervals apply)
- Nursys license verification and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Must provide copies of certification, license, and driver’s license, along with two references
