Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position in California requiring a current CA RN license and 3 years of critical care experience.
Responsibilities
- Assignment in the ICU of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 18:00 to 06:30
- 13-week contract position
- Responsible for direct patient care, including patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the ICU
- Expected to teach and guide patient families and support staff while maintaining high standards of care
- Requires strong skills in rapid response to changes in patient condition and in hemodynamic monitoring
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
- Protects patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of ICU or critical care experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Completion of a Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP) certification, which can be obtained through Relias, Healthcare Staffing Hire, or a CDC free resource

Friendly staff but if an ICU contract you float ALL THE TIME and the tele floor is extremely busy without the right amount of staffing. We had to claim missed breaks a lot
