Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in Iowa, requiring Epic EMR proficiency and recent OR and PACU experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room with responsibilities in same day surgery, pre/post-op, and PACU settings
• Patient care includes pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-anesthesia recovery
• Requires use of Epic EMR
• First time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
• Duties include circulating and/or scrubbing in the OR and providing care in PACU as needed
• Must be able to work two of three major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• Only one day off allowed between 11/26-11/30 and 12/23-1/2
• Local travelers may receive a rate adjustment in accordance with local policy

Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications needed
• Minimum 2 years of experience in same day surgery, pre/post-op, OR, and/or PACU required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• One supervisory reference from within the last 2 years is required
• Candidates must not have been employed by the client within the previous 12 months
