Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) for an Operating Room position requiring a MO or compact RN license and recent OR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Operating Room Complex within a hospital setting
- Day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
- 13-week assignment duration
- RNFA will be responsible for pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care and first assisting in surgical procedures
- Blocked scheduling may be considered based on facility needs
- Up to 5 days of requested time off is permitted but must be made up during the assignment
- Local candidates within 50 miles may be subject to contract length and return limitations
- Candidates with a home address within 50 miles are restricted to three consecutive 13-week contracts at a local facility before a required break or transfer
Requirements
- Active MO or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- First Assistant (RNFA) certification required
- Current BLS certification required with no expiring certs within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal is scheduled
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in perioperative nursing and first assisting
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
- No employment gaps of 90 or more days within the past 12 months
