Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with hospital or long-term care experience for a primarily outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• 90% outpatient and 10% inpatient caseload
• Rehabilitation therapy role focused on physical therapy modalities
• Located in a hospital and clinic setting
• 32-hour work week on 8-hour shifts
• Treats patients recovering from accidents, surgery, degenerative or terminal disease
• Primary duties include evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic exercises and manual therapy
• Collaborates with other rehabilitation professionals including speech therapists
• Responsible for maintaining detailed patient records and reporting progress to the care team
• Expected to demonstrate professionalism, effective teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills
• Participation in continuing education and departmental staff meetings is required
• Work attire and dress code according to hospital policy

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited physical therapy program
• Experience working directly with patients in a long-term care or hospital setting
• Current Physical Therapist state license required if applicable
• Current BLS or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
• Strong documentation and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care across a variety of patient populations
