Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least one year of MRI experience and ARRT certification for a night shift contract.

Responsibilities

• Work in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) department
• Night shift schedule with 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Contract assignment
• Performs MRI scans following department protocols and ensures accurate patient identification and safety
• Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures and administers intravenous contrast as ordered
• Operates and troubleshoots MRI equipment, following all MRI safety and emergency procedures including the FOUR ZONE concept
• Responsible for electronic imaging processes, including viewing, transferring, archiving, and image manipulation
• Maintains quality control standards and completes required documentation accurately
• Adheres to infection control and sterile technique guidelines
• Understands and operates all related MRI computer hardware and software
• Scrub attire or dress code to be consistent with MRI safety and department policy

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of MRI experience required
• ARRT registered technologist required
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• Active MRI-related license required if applicable
• Current Utah State licensure required for positions in Utah to administer RX
• Experience with EPIC charting system required
• Ability to meet departmental IV certification competency within three months of hire
• Physical ability to lift, stand, and demonstrate manual dexterity
