Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 2 years of IR experience and required certifications for a day shift role in a collaborative procedural department.
Details
- Work in an interventional radiology unit with close collaboration with the cardiac cath lab
- Patient care involves radiology and cardiology procedures
- Day shift schedule is 5x8 hours, Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; flexibility is required for earlier or later procedures
- Call is divided equally among team members, typically two nights per week and every other weekend, with a 30-minute response requirement when on call
- Floating may be required between interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab
- Weekend call extends from Friday COB to department opening Monday morning
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of interventional radiology experience required
- ARRT, BLS, ACLS certifications, and a current LA or Compact state license required; license required if applicable
- All certifications must be from AHA
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Candidates must live at least 65 miles from the facility
- Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
- Must obtain Allied Health licensure within 72 hours of signing if not already held
Additional Information
- May be assigned to an Emergency Team with an expectation to stay on site during severe weather events such as hurricanes
- Team-based environment with support between IR and Cardiac Cath Lab staff
- 5-day orientation and required online modules included during onboarding
- Two manager or supervisor references are required to clear for contract start
- Candidates who have worked in permanent or in-house agency roles must have a one-year separation before returning as travelers
- On-call responsibilities can include coverage during after hours, weekends, and holidays
