Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a SC or Compact RN license and flexibility across multiple surgical service lines.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room within a hospital setting
• Responsibilities may include covering general, neuro, orthopedic, and robotics cases
• Shifts are scheduled from 06:30 to 17:00
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Call participation is required as scheduled
• Role involves prepping the operating room and assisting with patient positioning and preparation
• Will serve as a communication liaison with both families and the surgical team
• Expected to ensure efficient department operations and proper documentation of care
• Must be willing to work in various service lines according to department needs
• Demonstrates ongoing professional growth through goal-setting and training participation
• Use of appropriate health and safety equipment is required for all assignments
• Responsible for controlling and maintaining supplies and equipment
• Scrub or circulating duties may be assigned as needed

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license is required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required
• Proficiency with computer programs used in patient care is expected
