Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) contract requiring a GA or compact license and strong endovascular skills.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) within a hospital setting
- Day shifts with 12-hour rotations
- No on-call responsibilities
- Care for critically ill cardiovascular patients including complex cardiac and vascular procedures
- Assignment duration is 13 weeks
- Expected to provide skilled care for adult cardiovascular patients undergoing advanced procedures
- Maximum of 5 days requested time off allowed unless during or near a holiday, when only up to 3 days are permitted
- Only one holiday time-off request is allowed and RTO during holidays must be spread out
- Returning travelers must supply the last 5 digits of their SSN for consideration
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum 18 months of recent full-time CVICU or CVOR experience within the last 3 years
- Demonstrated proficiency with cardiac and vascular procedures and strong endovascular experience
- Must not live within 50 miles of the facility (no locals allowed)
- Former permanent Emory or Houston staff must be separated for at least 12 months (18 months for the same facility) prior to being considered
