Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and current state licensure for an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital working in the physical therapy department
• Patient evaluations and treatments are conducted on site during regular business hours
• Full-time schedule with 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week
• EMR system used is Epic, and experience with Epic documentation is preferred
• Primary responsibilities include patient assessment, plan of care development, therapeutic intervention, and progress evaluation
• The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team
• Daily duties focus on improving patient mobility, endurance, pain management, and overall function
• Team-oriented work environment with expectations for high professionalism and work ethic

• No mention of floating or call requirements

Requirements

• Current and active state Physical Therapist license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent physical therapy experience, preferably in a clinic or acute care setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school required; DPT preferred
• Experience with ultrasound is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills are essential
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Must be highly organized, analytical, and demonstrate professionalism
