Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a general surgery unit caring for renal and general medical patients, requiring a TN or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Work in a 21-bed general surgery unit within a hospital setting
Patient population includes renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) and general medical patients aged 18 and older
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15
Floating may be required to different units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs
Assignment is 13 weeks in length with potential for extension
All required documentation must be provided for consideration, including references and license verifications
Local candidates are accepted but will receive a reduced local rate based on facility-recognized radius rules
COVID-19 vaccination is not required

Requirements

Active TN or compact RN license required
Minimum of one year Med/Surg RN experience
Current AHA BLS certification required
Primary source license verification via Nursys required within 30 days prior to start
Must provide a US Social Security Number and a US home address (no international addresses accepted)
