Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Med/Surg night shift position requiring IL RN licensure and Epic EMR proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital setting on a dedicated cardiac medical-surgical unit
- Night shift schedule from 7:00pm to 7:30am, three 12-hour shifts per week
- Patient population includes adults with cardiac conditions
- Use of Epic for charting is required
- Facility is Level 1 Trauma
- Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Implement nursing interventions and adjust care based on patient evaluation
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and collaborate with the healthcare team
- Night shift role may require flexibility on weekends and holidays as needed by the facility
- Return travelers may not exceed one continuous year assignment at this facility and must take a 6-month break in service before returning
- RTO (requested time off) may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience, with three years preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no locals accepted)
