Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CT state license and CCC-SLP certification to provide both adult and pediatric therapy services in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 78-bed general hospital serving inpatient and outpatient populations
• Caseload includes approximately 50 outpatient and 50 inpatient visits per month
• Mixed adult and pediatric patient population
• Uses Cerner electronic medical record system
• Shifts are Monday 9:00am-12:00pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am-5:30pm, Wednesday and Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
• Provide evaluation and treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders for both adults and children
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Scrubs are required attire for this role
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate

Requirements

• Current CT Speech Pathologist license required if applicable
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC-SLP)
• At least 1 year of experience in both inpatient and outpatient therapy
• Skills in MBS and FEES are preferred
• Experience with pediatric populations is preferred
• Two professional references from managers or above within the last year
