Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing facility with at least 1 year of experience and an active state license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Work in a skilled nursing facility providing rehabilitation therapy
• Full-time, 40 hours per week schedule
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
• Focus on adult and geriatric patient populations
• Main responsibilities include assessing patient abilities, developing treatment plans, and delivering individualized therapy interventions
• Work involves educating patients and families on exercises, safety, and home modifications
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies
• Flexible scheduling options may be available

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• At least 1 year of experience in physical therapy
• Active Physical Therapy license required if applicable
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, and adaptive equipment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
