Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing facility position requiring an active state license and at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) providing comprehensive rehabilitation therapy services
• Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week for a 13-week assignment
• Patient population includes residents requiring rehabilitation for strength, mobility, and functional improvements
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians
• Primary responsibilities include thorough patient evaluations, development of individualized treatment plans, and provision of therapeutic interventions
• Educate patients and families on exercises, movement safety, and home modifications
• Monitor patient progress and update treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments and progress notes according to facility standards
• Collaborative and supportive team environment with opportunities for career growth and advancement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current and active state Physical Therapy license required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist required
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, and adaptive equipment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
