Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with Level 1 trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency for a day shift assignment in Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Work in an intensive care unit (ICU) hospital setting
• Care for critically ill adult patients in a Level 1 trauma environment
• Day shifts, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, three days per week
• Uses Epic EMR; prior experience required
• No local candidates permitted within a 50-mile radius
• Responsibilities include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for critically ill patients
• Must complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Expected to modify care plans based on ongoing evaluation and patient needs
• Support a collaborative team-based work environment
• RTO (time off) not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Employees may not be continuously assigned for more than one year without a six-month break before returning
• No travel partners accepted

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or temporary permit required
• Minimum of one year recent relevant ICU experience, with three years preferred
• Associate’s degree in nursing (ASN) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Documented Level 1 trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
