Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with a minimum of 1 year of recent home health experience and BLS certification for a Home Health assignment.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering 13 counties with weekly rotation for furthest coverage areas
• Choice of 5x8 or 4x10 day shifts with 8:00 AM start time
• Call required one Sunday every five weeks
• Weekend coverage every fifth week, with compensatory days off during that week
• Patient caseload is adjusted based on travel distance and mileage
• Uses Epic for charting, Epic experience preferred
• Responsibilities include home health physical therapy assessments and interventions across multiple counties
• Team rotates to cover distant areas with lower patient load on high mileage days
• Return staff must be gone for at least one year before returning in a traveler capacity
• Orientation includes completion of non-billable modules through MyPath
• Scrubs or polo top with black, grey, or khaki pants required; no prints
• Locals are accepted at a reduced rate
• Must submit requests for time off with application

Requirements

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree required
• Active state physical therapy license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent home health experience required
• BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Travel therapist experience preferred
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel pay eligibility
• Must provide two professional references for consideration
