Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring LDRP experience, BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Birth Center, a hospital-based Labor & Delivery and Postpartum setting
• Unit has 20 beds: 12 L&D, 8 postpartum/antepartum, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 OR, and a 6-bed level II NICU
• Night 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend
• No on-call requirement
• Teal scrubs are provided
• Uses the Epic EMR system
• Responsible for comprehensive care of mothers and newborns from admission through discharge, including post-partum care
• Will serve a diverse patient population, including Russian and Spanish-speaking patients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Teal scrubs are provided as part of the dress code
• Nurse Practitioner is available on call for support
• Epic EMR training provided as needed

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required (pending license considered with proof of application date)
• Minimum 2 years total Labor & Delivery experience, with at least 1 year LDRP experience
• Certifications required: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring
• Ability to perform cervical exams, antepartum and labor care, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IVs, and Pitocin administration
• Experience in post-partum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby
• Must be able to circulate C-sections
• Baby catching/receiving and APGAR assessment skills required
• Breastfeeding knowledge required
• Scrub experience preferred
• Multilingual abilities (Russian or Spanish) preferred
