Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with Level I trauma and robotic surgery proficiency for a rotating schedule position in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the hospital Operating Room
• Shifts are 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend shifts required
• On-call required 4-6 times within a 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Expected to float as needed within the facility
• Uses Da Vinci Xi and DV5 robots for surgeries across general, gyn, thoracic, and urology specialties
• EPIC charting experience is heavily preferred
• May provide care to COVID-19 patients
• Expect to work 2 out of 3 major holidays as designated by the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted per contract
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• All required modules must be completed online prior to start
• Local candidates within 50 miles are eligible at a lower pay rate
• Interview with the unit manager is required as part of the selection process

Requirements

• Active PA or compact RN license with no licensing infractions
• Minimum 3 years recent OR RN experience required
• At least 1 year of Level I or II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Ability to independently scrub and circulate in multiple specialties including robotics, ortho, general, gyn, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic trauma
• Proficiency with Da Vinci Xi robot required; familiarity with DV5 is a plus
• AHA or ARC certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred
