Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma ICU assignment in a Level II Trauma Magnet hospital requiring a CA license and ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Trauma ICU unit of an acute care hospital
• Level II Trauma Center with a Magnet designation and teaching environment
• Patient population includes high acuity trauma cases
• Travelers may be floated to other ICU/TELE units as needed
• Day shifts (3x12 hours) from 7:00 to 19:00 with weekend shifts required
• Charting is completed using Cerner EMR
• No on-call responsibility is required
• Free parking is available onsite
• No specific scrub colors required, but no camouflage or character patterns are permitted
• Up to 7 days of time off and 1 holiday off can be approved
• Modules are completed during orientation and average 3-6 hours depending on specialty
• Candidates must not have worked at the facility within the past year
• Locals are accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• First-time travelers are accepted
• COVID vaccination required
