Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience and a valid NH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a 10-bed critical care unit of a hospital
• Cares for critically unstable medical/surgical patients with acute coronary syndrome and unstable hemodynamics
• Patient ratios are 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity and RN experience
• Uses cardiac monitoring systems and advanced technological equipment
• 12-hour shifts available: 3x12 nights or 3x12 days (please specify preference)
• Requires working every other weekend
• Rotating holiday coverage is required
• Responsibilities focus on rapid recognition and treatment of life-threatening complications in critical patients
• Must be able to provide total patient care to those with unstable vital functions
• Work in a supportive environment with advanced monitoring and documentation tools
• Holiday and weekend coverage are mandatory as part of the role

Requirements

• Active NH or compact state RN license with proof of residency
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent ICU experience with telemetry nursing skills
• Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience within the last 2 years
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• No local candidates accepted; must live more than 75 miles from the facility
