Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU/CCU position requiring a KY or compact RN license and strong critical care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU/CCU unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:2 in the critical care unit
• Rotating weekly schedule of 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next on night shifts (19:00-07:30)
• Meditech EMR is used in this unit
• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• Travel pairs are not allowed except in rare, unit-determined circumstances
• No local candidates are accepted due to radius requirements
• Patient ratios and assignments may fluctuate with census or staffing changes
• No consideration for candidates previously submitted to other jobs concurrently

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years current ICU experience required
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), and NIHSS
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
• Copy of Driver’s License and 2 professional references required
