Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced MRI Technologist for night shifts with ARRT, BLS, and proficiency on GE and Siemens 1.5T/3T scanners.
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced MRI department performing advanced imaging studies
- Patient care includes preparing and positioning for MRI, screening for ferrous implants, and starting IVs for contrast
- Scanners include GE and Siemens 1.5T and 3T units
- Uses Epic EMR system and PACS for image management
- Scheduled night shifts: Saturday and Sunday 6:30am-9:00pm, Monday 6:30am-7:00pm
- No local travelers accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
- Responsibilities include patient screening, imaging setup, sequence selection, image quality evaluation, and patient monitoring
- Starting and monitoring IV contrast, troubleshooting issues, and promptly reporting reactions to radiologist or code team
- Teaching and supporting MRI students and technical staff may be required
- Participation in continuing education and departmental quality initiatives
- Completion and maintenance of accurate records and statistics as required by the Department of Public Health
- Scrubs or dress code details not specified
- Successful completion of Tele/ECG and Medication tests may be required at certain campuses
- Parking at the Boston site may cost up to $43 per day
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years MRI technologist experience required
- Current ARRT (MRI) certification required
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Experience on Epic EMR, as well as GE and Siemens MRI scanners
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- MA license in hand required if applicable
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster, and seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
- No employment at any BILH facility within the previous 6 months
