Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and at least 2 years of relevant experience for a fast-paced imaging environment.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital radiology MRI unit with both 1.5T and 3T GE and Siemens scanners
- Handles a variety of MRI procedures including patient positioning and image acquisition
- Weekend shifts required with typical hours: Saturday and Sunday 6:30am-9:00pm, Monday 6:30am-7:00pm
- Uses Epic EMR and PACS system for records and image management
- Must be able to work independently in a high-volume setting
- Prepare and position patients for varied MRI exams including use of coils and monitoring equipment
- Screen patients and personnel for ferrous metal hazards
- Select and document appropriate scan protocols and pulse sequences
- Manipulate and evaluate images for diagnostic completeness and quality
- Start IVs for contrast administration and monitor for reactions
- Participate in training and clinical evaluation of MRI students and new technologists
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records for each procedure and edit hospital records as required
- Respond to patient needs with clear communication and courtesy
- Pass/fail competency testing may be required

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years MRI experience required
- Current ARRT certification and BLS (AHA) required
- MA state license required if applicable
- Experience with GE and Siemens MRI scanners (1.5T and 3T) necessary
- Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
- COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
- Candidates cannot have been employed at any BILH facility within the last 6 months
