Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a MA RN license and strong cardiac skills including PA line management.
Responsibilities
- Work in the CCU with regular floating to the CVICU in a hospital setting
- Cares for a critically ill cardiovascular patient population including medical and surgical cardiac cases
- 12-hour rotating or night shifts available, discussed during interview
- Patient care involves use of PA lines and transvenous pacing, with preference for MCS (IABP, Impella) experience
- Weekly orientation sessions start every Monday, except holidays
- Responsibilities include management of complex cardiac devices and interventions
- All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application
- Parking cost may be up to $43 per day
- First-time travelers will be considered
- Holiday coverage may be required as part of the contract
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong cardiac experience required, either surgical or medical
- Significant expertise managing PA lines and transvenous pacing required
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella) strongly preferred
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers allowed)
- Must not have worked in any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility in any capacity within the past 6 months
- COVID-19 vaccine and booster, as well as seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions permitted)
- Pass/Fail testing required for Tele/ECG and Medication knowledge (for specific campus locations as directed)
