Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a MA RN license and strong cardiac skills including PA line management.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CCU with regular floating to the CVICU in a hospital setting
• Cares for a critically ill cardiovascular patient population including medical and surgical cardiac cases
• 12-hour rotating or night shifts available, discussed during interview
• Patient care involves use of PA lines and transvenous pacing, with preference for MCS (IABP, Impella) experience
• Weekly orientation sessions start every Monday, except holidays
• Responsibilities include management of complex cardiac devices and interventions
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application
• Parking cost may be up to $43 per day
• First-time travelers will be considered
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the contract

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong cardiac experience required, either surgical or medical
• Significant expertise managing PA lines and transvenous pacing required
• Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella) strongly preferred
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers allowed)
• Must not have worked in any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility in any capacity within the past 6 months
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster, as well as seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions permitted)
• Pass/Fail testing required for Tele/ECG and Medication knowledge (for specific campus locations as directed)
