Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CVICU RN with strong cardiac and PA line experience for a rotating 12-hour shift assignment, requiring an active MA RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital environment within the CCU, with floating to the CVICU as needed
- Care for cardiac patients in both critical care and cardiovascular intensive care units
- Shift options include 12-hour rotating or night shifts, to be finalized during the interview
- Strong PA line and transvenous pacing experience required, with preference for MCS (IABP, Impella) experience
- Weekly orientation sessions held every Monday, except on holidays
- Responsibilities include managing complex cardiac patients utilizing advanced support technologies
- COVID-19 vaccine with booster and flu vaccine are required, with medical exemptions considered
- Parking costs up to $43/day should be expected
- Holiday coverage may be required as part of the rotating schedule
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license required at the time of consideration
- Certifications required: ACLS (AHA) and BLS/CPR (AHA)
- Significant cardiac nursing experience required, either surgical or medical
- Proven expertise in PA line management and transvenous pacing required
- Experience with mechanical circulatory support devices (IABP, Impella) preferred
- Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local candidates allowed)
- All time off (RTO) requests must be submitted for consideration
- Cannot have been employed (permanent or travel) at this health system within the past six months
- Completion of Tele/ECG and medication tests may be required
