Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a pulmonary floor, requiring an active TN or compact RN license and AHA BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital setting on a telemetry nursing unit focused on pulmonary diagnoses
• Patient population includes pneumonia, COPD, sleep apnea, general medical, and medical telemetry cases
• Night shift, 18:45-07:15, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Travelers may be required to float to other units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs and patient acuity
• Travelers will be notified prior to their shift if a float is required
• Responsibilities include caring for patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions on a monitored unit
• Must provide two professional references and a copy of valid driver’s license for consideration
• All holiday and weekend requirements will be based on unit needs
• Dress code or scrub requirements to be provided by facility
• Local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate depending on specific facility radius rules

Requirements

• Active Tennessee or compact RN license is required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant RN experience
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification must be completed within 30 days prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred or must be current based on group requirements
• US Social Security Number and US address required
