Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with Michigan licensure and experience in outpatient, acute, and long-term care settings.

Responsibilities

• Work in a physical therapy unit covering outpatient, acute, and long-term care patients
• Patient populations include geriatric and orthopedic cases
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• The position involves 8-hour day shifts
• Evaluate patients, develop individualized care plans, and use modalities or hands-on therapy to increase mobility and manage pain
• Communicate and coordinate with rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines to provide continuity of care
• Responsible for generating progress reports and discharge summaries
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established infection-control policies
• Assist with patient scheduling and quality assurance initiatives within the Rehabilitation Services department

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist program
• Current State of Michigan Physical Therapist license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience treating patients in outpatient, acute, and long-term care settings required
• Geriatric and orthopedic experience is preferred
