Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a permanent OH or compact license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, typically 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am
• Options for 4x12, 3x12, or 2x12 shifts may be available
• Care for a med/surg telemetry patient population
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments required during orientation
• Responsibilities include comprehensive nursing care for med/surg telemetry patients during night shifts
• Negative 10 panel plus nicotine drug screening required within 12 months of start; nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free policy
• Permanent and per diem candidates may not return to the facility for at least one year from previous assignment end date
• Badging and onsite fingerprinting must be completed prior to start after required modules
• Annual and pre-start training modules must be completed, with modules tracked via Silkroad
• Holiday coverage may be required per unit needs
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at the time of consideration
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required prior to start
• NIHSS certification required prior to start or willingness to obtain
• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required before travel
• One recent supervisory reference in the specialty required for consideration
• All required certifications and licensure must be active with nothing pending
