Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of acute care experience and active ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification for a part-time assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an acute care nuclear medicine department
- Perform a variety of imaging studies including cardiac, HIDA, GI bleed, VQ, bone, renal, gastric emptying, sentinel node injections, lymphatic, lexiscans, pulmonary, and thyroid scans
- Average caseload of 5-10 studies per day
- Uses Siemens Symbia equipment
- Cerner EMR used in the department
- Part-time schedule, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
- No weekday call; weekend call required from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- No floating requirements specified
- Position not open to first-time travelers
- Scrubs must be teal and are not provided
- Must provide copy of driver’s license for consideration
- Orientation consists of 12 hours
- Candidates who have worked in any facility associated with the parent health system in the past year are not eligible
- Holiday coverage expectations not specified
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience in a hospital setting
- Active ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state nuclear medicine license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
- Ability to operate Siemens Symbia equipment
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor in the last 12 months
