Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 3+ years of acute care experience and active ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification for a part-time assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care nuclear medicine department
• Perform a variety of imaging studies including cardiac, HIDA, GI bleed, VQ, bone, renal, gastric emptying, sentinel node injections, lymphatic, lexiscans, pulmonary, and thyroid scans
• Average caseload of 5-10 studies per day
• Uses Siemens Symbia equipment
• Cerner EMR used in the department
• Part-time schedule, Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
• No weekday call; weekend call required from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
• No floating requirements specified
• Position not open to first-time travelers
• Scrubs must be teal and are not provided
• Must provide copy of driver’s license for consideration
• Orientation consists of 12 hours
• Candidates who have worked in any facility associated with the parent health system in the past year are not eligible
• Holiday coverage expectations not specified

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of nuclear medicine technologist experience in a hospital setting
• Active ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Active state nuclear medicine license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted
• Ability to operate Siemens Symbia equipment
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor in the last 12 months
