Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Texas, requiring at least two years of recent L&D and travel nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 14-bed Labor & Delivery hospital unit
- Patient ratio is typically 1:2
- Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week from 18:00 to 06:00
- Holiday coverage requires working 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed
- Epic EMR used; experience preferred
- No travel pairs or groups are permitted
- No RTO allowed during first week of orientation; maximum of 3 days RTO will be auto-approved
- Mandatory onsite orientation includes module completion with recorded transcripts
- Wear appropriate hospital scrubs as per unit policy
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
- At least one previous travel nursing assignment required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NR, AWHONN (Advanced, Beginner, or Intermediate)
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
- Candidates from specific counties are not accepted
- Former permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
