Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist with outpatient and inpatient expertise, BLS, and state licensure for a day shift opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care hospital with a 71-bed skilled extended care facility and Level IV trauma designation
• Focus on both outpatient and inpatient physical therapy
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hour shifts)
• Patient ratio is 1 therapist to 6 patients
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Candidates should be ready to float within scope to meet facility needs
• Cerner is used for charting in the hospital and Point Click Care is used in long-term care
• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, collaborating with hospital and extended care staff, and maintaining accurate documentation
• Scrub color is flexible; refer to facility dress code policy
• Free parking and housing are available for travelers
• No RTO (requested time off) allowed during the first two weeks, limit RTO to one week for contract
• Travel pairs are accepted
• Candidates must provide two professional supervisory references from the past two years

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Current BLS certification required
• Current state PT license or compact licensure required, license in-hand preferred; compact license accepted
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• License required if applicable
