Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position requiring a GA or compact RN license and ophthalmology experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient surgery Post Anesthesia Care Unit
- Serves primarily the postoperative patient population with a focus on ophthalmology cases
- 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, scheduled 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- 13-week contract assignment
- Floating and on-call duties are not required
- Must be available to work at least one major winter holiday (Christmas Day or New Year’s Day) and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve)
- All requested time off must be communicated during application; changes cannot be made after offer
- Dress code, team structure, and orientation details will be provided upon onboarding
- First-time travelers will be considered
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of PACU nursing experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ophthalmology experience required
- Local candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Perm staff wishing to return as travelers must have a minimum 2-year break in employment
