Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology assignment with cardiac procedures and advanced imaging in Washington, requiring an active WA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit
• Assist primarily with CT and MRI procedures, including cardiac interventions, MRGFUS, and sedation
• Average daily census includes 4 CCTA's and 5 MRI procedures with approximately 10 patient visits per day
• Staffing ratio is 1:1, working in a two-room department
• Specialized procedures include coronary CTA, MRGFUS, pacemaker programming (MRI), IV support, sedation monitoring, and contrast allergy monitoring
• Operates pacemaker interrogation equipment
• Uses the Epic EMR system (experience required)
• Scheduled for day shifts (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Some schedule flexibility for 3x12 shifts may be available
• Floating may be required between facilities within the state
• Assist with a range of cardiac and specialized imaging procedures including contrast allergy monitoring and sedation
• Monitor patients during advanced imaging procedures and support IV access and sedation safety
• Must complete all required compliance items and documentation prior to start
• Participation in pre-hire modules is required, with modules completed before start and annually thereafter
• Minimal to no RTO is strongly preferred and must be discussed at time of submission
• Reliable transportation is required for commuting and floating needs
• Facility requires scrubs per unit policy
• First-time travelers to the Providence system are welcome
• Assignment could be considered as temp-to-perm based on interest and mutual agreement

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience, with preference for IR or Cath Lab background
• Experience with cardiac procedures, sedation, and advanced imaging preferred
• Epic documentation system experience required
• Must provide two supervisory references covering one year within the past three years
• Former permanent staff of any Providence facility (non-Swedish) must have a 3-month separation before eligibility
• Candidates cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
