Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a FL or compact RN license and strong cath lab experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 13 beds on a hospital's 2nd floor
- Join a team of RNs and CVTs in a unit staffed by 30 personnel
- Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 3 patients
- Cases include LHC, RHC, peripherals, structural heart, and EP procedures
- Work schedule is four days a week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or until all cases are completed
- On-call coverage required during the week, every other weekend, and on major holidays
- Uses Phillips and GE equipment
- Documentation is completed using Meditech and Mac Lab systems
- Responsible for providing specialized care for cardiac cath lab procedures
- Scrubs are provided by the institution
- Must cover call as needed during the week, every other weekend, and on major holidays
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Must have experience with typical cath lab procedures
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment
- U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history eighty-nine days or longer in the past twelve months
