Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab position requiring a FL or compact RN license and strong cath lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab with 13 beds on a hospital's 2nd floor
• Join a team of RNs and CVTs in a unit staffed by 30 personnel
• Patient ratios are 1 nurse to 3 patients
• Cases include LHC, RHC, peripherals, structural heart, and EP procedures
• Work schedule is four days a week from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or until all cases are completed
• On-call coverage required during the week, every other weekend, and on major holidays
• Uses Phillips and GE equipment
• Documentation is completed using Meditech and Mac Lab systems
• Responsible for providing specialized care for cardiac cath lab procedures
• Scrubs are provided by the institution
• Must cover call as needed during the week, every other weekend, and on major holidays

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must have experience with typical cath lab procedures
• Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment
• U.S. Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history eighty-nine days or longer in the past twelve months
