Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for acute care hospital coverage requiring a CT PT license, BLS, and a minimum of 1 year recent acute hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an acute care hospital with 456 beds and a Level II Trauma Center
• Inpatient setting focusing on evaluations and treatments for acute care patients
• Shift is 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with rotating weekends and holiday coverage
• Responsibilities include performing patient evaluations and providing physical therapy treatments in an inpatient acute care setting
• Team operates in a high acuity environment with exposure to trauma activities
• Holiday and weekend coverage is required as part of the rotation
• Local candidates within 60 miles are accepted but may be subject to a reduced rate
• Candidates with expiring certifications during the assignment must provide proof of renewal
• Scrub attire requirements are not specified

Requirements

• Active CT PT license required if applicable
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in an acute hospital environment
• Submission of two professional references from the past year in current discipline from a manager or higher is required
• Functional Independent Measurement (FIM) certification in inpatient rehab settings is preferred
